My friend Angela alerted me to this delightful-sounding flick that somehow slipped beneath my radar until now. Read on for Netflix's summary of this 2006 made-for-DVD hit:
"Ever wonder about the middle part of the saga of everyone's favorite animated fawn, Bambi? This "midquel" to the classic cartoon chronicles the adolescent years of the spirited young deer. Filled with teenage angst, Bambi must cope with his mother's tragic death at the hands of a hunter. But reunited with his father and buoyed by pals Thumper and Flower (as well as by a flirtation with the fetching Faline), Bambi discovers a bright future." |
Sadly, the movie is unavailable from Netflix and not for sale at this time, but if you are very, very lucky, you might be able to snag it at your local video store.
