Attention my fellow walking zombies

Are you tired?

I know I am.

So, in honor of National Sleep Awareness Week, I'll be focusing on that most scarce of commodities: dear, sweet, precious slumber.

That means not only am I going to write about sleep all week, but I'm also devoting myself to a strict 10:00 bedtime every night. Normally I try to get to bed by 10, but it's usually 10:45, 11:00, or, oh, maybe 1:00 a.m. when I actually make it there. I've been doing better lately, but I've always wanted to see how it would affect my life to get serious about sleep, so I'm going to give it a try.

On Saturday I'll give a full report of how my 5-day sleep trial went. If nothing else, this should help me out on Sunday when the clocks spring forward an hour.

Note: Wolves, mosquitoes and invasive weeds each have their own national awareness weeks, too, but I don't plan on doing anything special for those.
