My contact lens was lodged somewhere in my eye, I was sure of it. The contact had disappeared, and my eye was irritated, even after a full night’s sleep. I thought I must be crazy, because your contact can’t get stuck in your eye, can it? Only one way to find out. I googled “contact stuck in eye” and immediately found a discussion board about my problem. I tried one of the suggestions offered, and out popped my contact!
The Internet is pretty much my solution for everything these days. It can be a great time saver. (Also a relentless time-waster, but more about that later.)
13 Positive Things About the Internet
1. Craigslist: find what you need, get rid of what you don’t

3. Online restaurant menus: takeout, simplified even further
4. For a buck I didn’t have to drag three kids to the post office to change my address
5. Facebook: staying connected with friends has never been easier or more fun
6. Product reviews
7. It’s a little harder for people to get away with doing bad stuff
8. It's a little easier for people to work together and do good stuff
9. Mapquest, Google Maps, et al.: not sure how I lived without these
10. Email: when utilized properly, a great way to communicate
11. Online bill pay: fewer papers to file, fewer checks to write, fewer stamps to buy
12. Faraway family members can communicate via webcam

Oh, I couldn't live without Google! Or Ask.com. I'm forever looking up all of the little facts that my son is asking about (and I don't have the answer to).
And, like you, I love reading other people's blogs! It's a guilty pleasure, peeking in at other people's lives. And it's always nice to know there are other people out there that view life through the same funny glasses as you ;D
How about the access to ever so many radio stations from around the world...
Podcasts are great fun too.
